This week we will continue to work on Hallowe'en themed activities. Our class is very excited to have a partner grade one class at FLVT. We are writing Hallowe'en poems and making a book for them this week. Pumpkin carving will go ahead as scheduled at 9:50ish on Friday, October 27th. Thanks to all of the parents who have donated pumpkins and time to come to help with the festivities.
I will be away both Monday and Tuesday so that I can attend Literacy sessions. I am excited to learn some new strategies to help students become better readers and writers!
Parent/ Teacher collaborative meetings will take place Wednesday and Thursday evenings beginning at 4:15 pm. I am looking forward to meeting with all of you. It is important to remember that actual report cards don't go our until the end of November. These meetings will be focusing on initial basic assessments and first impressions.
Thank you for all of the practicing of spelling words you have been doing at home. It has been making a positive difference in both student confidence and performance!
