Happy Father's day! I hope you enjoyed the gifts your child made for you. They worked so hard and were very excited to present you with their master pieces!

We are about to begin our second last week of grade one!! Hopefully the weather will be full of sun and warmth. This will be a week packed with fun activities for students (and teachers too!).
On Monday students are invited to bring their favourite stuffy. Tuesday is talent day and I am looking forward to the students showcasing themselves! Wednesday we acknowledge all of the students with Summer birthdays. Thursday we will enjoy a video and popcorn in the afternoon. (For preference and allergy reasons, please send some popcorn with your child). And Finally, on Friday we go on our fieldtrip to Fort Whoop Up and then have our end of the year picnic at Riverstone Park. Thank you to all of the parents who have volunteered to chaperone the fieldtrip and/or bring snacks for the picnic.

Our "Feed the Hungry" Challenge continues until June 22nd. We are hoping to collect at least 151 items from each class, so far we are almost half way there. Thank you to all of those parents who have so generously donated!

The last spelling test has been moved to June 21st to accommodate the class picnic.
