Weekly Update - November 26 - 30

Report cards went home on Friday. I am very pleased with all of the students' progress since the beginning of the year! We had our interviews in October but if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.

Christmas concert time is here! The Grade One classes are singing "Candy Cane Kid/ Sugar Cookie". Students are to wear black pants or leggings, a plain white shirt (long sleeves preferred with no logos) and runners. The girls need to have their hair off their face (headband or ponytail). We have a dress rehearsal here at school this Thursday morning. We will also have one next Wednesday at the Yates (we will be bused there at 8:45 and back again at 1:30ish). Please be sure your child comes dressed for both rehearsals. At the Yates we will also need to bring along an easy to eat lunch. The less they need to bring back to school the better. Lots of Tupperware items and water bottles tend to go missing.

On the evenings of December 5th and 6th, students are to come to the Yates at 6:30 (no earlier please). We will keep them together as a group until the concert is over at about 8:00 pm. Please pick your child up from the stage both nights.  We are still looking for 2 parent volunteers for the Thursday night show. Send me a quick note if you are able to help out. Thank you in advance!

If you are considering a Scholastic book order for Christmas gifts, please send it to school by December 7th. The order will be place at the end of that day so that the orders arrive well before Christmas break. If you want me to keep the order as a surprise, just attach a note to the order and put it in a sealed envelope.

Winter is officially here! Please make sure that your children have boots, mittens and hats each day as they will be going outside for all recesses as weather permits. Also, please remind your child to tuck mittens and hats into their coat sleeves to minimize lost articles of clothing.
