Weekly Update - November 19 - 23

Last week I, along with many teachers from southern Alberta, had the pleasure of attending a conference on the Daily 5 literacy program held in Las Vegas. We deepened our understanding of the process, met the authors of the program and received a number of books and supplies to use in our classrooms (It was almost like being on Oprah's favourite things show!!). Even with all of the excitement of Vegas, it was wonderful getting back to the sweet smiling faces and hugs from my students.

The next few weeks will be very busy in our school. Report cards come home on Monday and interviews are on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. If those times do not work for you, I am happy to set up a time when it is more convenient. We have a fieldtrip to the Galt Museum on the 26th. The consent form will come home tomorrow, please send it back as soon as possible. If you are considering a Scholastic book order, please send it to school on Monday or Tuesday as the order will go at the end of the day on Tuesday.

Nov 29 - Christmas Concert dress rehearsal at the school

Nov 30 - Advent celebration 10:20 - 10:52
