Weekly Update December 17 - 21

Hard to believe, but we are into the final few school days before Christmas holidays! Your children are busily working to complete all activities and booklets so they can start fresh in the new year. The final activity in our length and capacity unit is measuring and comparing stuffed animals. Students are welcome to bring their favourite "stuffie" on Tuesday for this activity (as long as it can fit in their locker!).   

We will have our final spelling test of the month on Thursday since Friday is chocked full of activities. The Advent celebration and Crusaders Assembly will take place in the morning and our afternoon will be dedicated to popcorn/ movie day (I am planning to show Polar Express). Students are encouraged to wear comfy cozy wear and are welcome to bring cuddle with their stuffies during the movie.

I will be sending home a sight word booklet for the students to work on, if time allows, over the holidays. Also, students are encouraged to visit the Raz Kids site from time to time. Thanks for all your support in 2012 and I look forward to our start up after the holidays! Have a safe and blessed Christmas season.
