Weekly Update - May 5 - 9

We had another very busy week. Your children have been working hard on becoming authors by writing stories they are very proud of. Next week we will finish up our Mother's Day theme and begin working on a Farm Life theme.

Running club begins first thing Monday morning. It will run from 8:25 - 8:40 a.m. Mon - Fri and from 12:05 - 12:33  p.m.on Tues and Wed. All students are welcome to join. It is a great way to start the day! Parents are welcome to participate also if interested. Come one, come all!

We have two fieldtrips coming up this month. On May 20th we go to SAAG (Southern Alberta Art Gallery) to view the work of students from schools throughout Lethbridge. On May 27th both Grade One classes are heading out to Birds of Prey. There is no charge for the SAAG trip and all parents are welcome to join us. However, there is a cost to Birds of Prey. We have money to pay a portion of the student's cost, but there will be a fee of $3.00 per student and $5.50 per adult. It is a wonderful fieldtrip for students as it fits in with our Science outcomes for Grade One. Consent forms for both trips will come home this week. (I will put them on different coloured paper to avoid confusion)
