Weekly Update - March 16 - 20

Last week was a very busy week. Students did lots of work but they also got the opportunity to enjoy the St. Francis play Annie Junior. We have been doing a lot of practice for Kiwanis choral speech. Ask your child to recite the poems; The Crocodile's Toothache and Nightmare, you will be amazed at how quickly they have learned them!

Next week is a short week. Tuesday is St. Patrick's Day and the school will be going to mass at 9:00 am. Parents are most welcome to join us. Please send your child in something green. It is also parent council hot lunch day and students will participate in a few St. Patrick's Day activities. The leprechaun traps are fantastic!! Thank you to all of the families for sharing their creativity with us!

Wednesday is Kiwanis choral speech in the gym. Students are asked to wear blue jeans and a brightly coloured short sleeved t-shirt (plain; no markings on front of shirt). Girls are asked to wear their hair pulled back away from their face. Grade one performs at 9:50 am. It is $2.00 per person and people should come a few minutes early to ensure seating.
Interviews are Thursday night and Friday morning. I look forward to meeting with all of you. Please note that each interview is 10 minutes. I will try to keep everything running smoothly and on time.

Friday after interviews is a P.D. Day for teachers but students have a day off. Enjoy your long weekend!
