June is here!! I hope your children have been enjoying the ABC's of Grade One. Run club wrapped up last week. We had our last school run at noon on Monday and then took part in the Little Soul's Run on Wednesday evening. Such a warm beautiful night and a great turnout from students!!
On Wednesday we took part in Heritage day celebration. We enjoyed many interesting sessions and the students had a really great day.
This month both grade one classes are doing our 2nd annual mission "Feed The Hungry" project to collect non perishable food for the Interfaith Food Bank. Parents are asked to send some food items to school before June 22nd. We are challenging the other classes to see who can collect the most. We are combining this project with a celebration of Canada's 151st birthday. With that in mind, we are encouraging each class to collect at least 151 items. The winning class will receive popsicles for each student to enjoy.
Monday is jeans and jokes today. Please remind your child to practice a couple of jokes to share with the class.
