Hard to believe, but we are almost
at the last month of grade one! As summer approaches, it is a
great time to reflect on your child's accomplishments over the past few
months of this school year. I always marvel at the transformation students make
in such a short time! Please continue to have them practice reading and math
skills over the next few weeks.
We have an exceptionally short week ahead. Monday is Victoria Day and we all have an extra day off. We have a site based PD day on Tuesday.
This week we will start the ABC's of grade one on Wednesday. Our "A" day begins with an extra art project. In past," Bubbles and Bubble Gum" day gets high ratings from most of the students. I am looking forward to having fun with bubbles!!
The Crowning of Mary Celebration is at 9:00 am on Thursday. Your children have been practicing their parts as well as the Hail Mary prayer, I am confident that they are all prepared. The dress is black pants and a plain white shirt. You may want to send an extra shirt for the remainder of the day. Please feel free to join us for the celebration.
I will be sending home the last Scholastic order form for the year. If you are interested in ordering, please return the form ASAP.
