Weekly Update - June 17 - 21

                         

Happy Father's day! I hope you enjoyed the gifts your child made for you. They worked so hard and were very excited to present you with their Father's Day portraits!

We are about to begin our second last week of grade one!! Hopefully the weather will be full of sun and warmth. This will be a week packed with fun activities for students (and teachers too!).

On Monday students are invited to bring their favourite stuffy. Tuesday is talent day and I am looking forward to the students showcasing themselves! Wednesday we acknowledge all of the students with Summer birthdays. Thursday we will enjoy a video and popcorn in the afternoon. (For preference and allergy reasons, please send some popcorn with your child). And Finally, on Friday we go on our fieldtrip to Fort Whoop Up and then have our end of the year picnic at Riverstone Park. Thank you to all of the parents who have volunteered to chaperone the fieldtrip and/or bring snacks for the picnic.  

The last spelling test has been moved to June 20th to accommodate the class picnic.

• June 21 - Fort Whoop-Up field trip - 9:00 - 11:10ish
• June 21 - End of Year Picnic - 11:20 - 12:40 pm
• June 25 - Closing Mass at St. Martha Church - 9:00 am
• June 25 - Family BBQ - 6:00 - 8:00 pm
• June 26 - Sports Day and Hot Lunch
• June 27 - Last Day of School - 1:15 pm
• June 28 - PD Day for Teachers
