Weekly Update - October 12 - 16

This is going to be a very short week. Monday is Thanksgiving Day, and on Tuesday teachers will be at the school participating in professional development activities.

We will be going on our first fieldtrip of the year to Helen Schuler Coulee Center on the Thursday the 15th. The students will have a great time learning about fall seasonal effects on leaves and animals. Fingers crossed that we have beautiful weather!! Thank you to all of the parents who have signed up to help chaperone.

Over the weekend, please enjoy the fantastic weather by helping your child gather a few leaves in a plastic bag to bring to school on Wednesday. We have a couple of art projects coming up that will require leaves of all colours.

RAZ KIDS is up and running. It is a great way for students to increase their reading skills at home on appropriately leveled books. I will send a letter home on Wednesday explaining how to access the website from your home computer. Please let me know if you are having difficulty with the program. Also, remember that there is a spelling test on Friday.

Scholastic book orders will be accepted until Friday the 16th .
