Our class consists of 9 boys and 12 girls for a total of 21 students! There will be information and educational web sites that will remain here throughout the year - so bookmark our classroom webpage to your home computer and it will be easy for your child to access these games and links at home! If you have websites you would like me to share with our class, please let me know and I will add them to our pages!

Weekly Update - February 8 - 12
Last week we focused on groundhog activities and information. There was mixed news. One groundhog saw his shadow and one didn't. We chose to believe Balzac Billy and that spring is on its way!
This week we will concentrate on the 100th day of the school year, which falls on Thursday the 11th. It is hard to believe that we are over half way through the school year! I have some activities planned for the week and then we will wrap up the festivities with a "Mad Hatter" parade through a few other classrooms. I hope that you and your children have been busy creating fantastic 100th day hats for this exciting event!
The next day we celebrate Valentine's day. The morning will go on as normal, but in the afternoon we will exchange valentines, watch a short video and enjoy some delicious treats supplied by the parents. Thank you to those of you who are on treat duty!
I will begin assessing reading and math skills for the next report card starting February 8th. Please help your child practice counting to 100 by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's. Also, if all the stars align, students should be reading close to level E/F by the March report card. I know that sounds high, but I am proud of the progress they are making each day.
