Weekly Update - October 17 - 21

We have a very short but busy week ahead. Thursday and Friday are both professional development days and teachers will take part in many valuable learning sessions. There will be no school for students on those days.

We are just about to wrap up run club for this season. Weather permitting, we will continue with run club Monday, Tuesday and conclude on Wednesday. Thank you to all the students who have participated, job well done!! We will start up again at the end of April.

Our first fieldtrip of the year to Helen Schuler is on Tuesday, October 18th. I am so grateful to all of the parents who have signed up to be chaperones. We have room for a few parents on the bus or you may decide to meet us down there. Please note that the bus will leave the school no later than 12:45 pm.

Next week is our pumpkin carving session. Please check with Shannon Boucher if you are able to join us for pumpkin carving or donate a pumpkin. Thank you to those parents who have already volunteered! Please remember to bring a knife for carving.

Once again, RAZ KIDS is up and running. It is a great way for students to increase their reading skills. Please let me know if you are having difficulty accessing the program or if your child is experiencing difficulty with the level I have them on.

Also, remember that the spelling test is on Wednesday this week. I am very proud of your children, they are doing very well on the spelling tests!!
