It is May and we are beginning our second last month of Grade One! Your children have been working hard on becoming very good readers and authors by reading and writing daily. Next week we will work on our Mother's Day theme and begin a Farm Life theme.
We have two class fieldtrips coming up this month. On May 9th both Grade One classes are heading out to Lethbridge College to view the Hubbard Collection. It is a wonderful fieldtrip for students as it fits in with our Animal Science outcomes for Grade One. On May 11th we go to SAAG (Southern Alberta Art Gallery) to view the work of students from schools throughout Lethbridge. Consent forms for both trips went home last week.
Running club began last Monday morning. It runs from 8:25 - 8:40 a.m. Mon to Thurs. All students are welcome to join. It is a great way to start the day! Parents are welcome to participate also if interested. Come one, come all!
