Last week we focused on groundhog activities and information. There's good news -- since Philly didn't see his shadow, spring is on its way!
This week we will concentrate on the 100th day of the school year, which falls on Friday the 8th. It is hard to believe that we are over half way through the school year! I have some activities planned for the week and then we will wrap up the festivities with a "Mad Hatter" parade through a few other classrooms. I hope that you and your children have been busy creating fantastic 100th day hats for this exciting event!
I will begin assessing reading and math skills for the next report card starting February 25th. Please help your child practice counting to 100 by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's. Also, if all the stars align, students should be reading close to level E/F by the March report card. I know that sounds high, but I am proud of the progress they are making each day.
Have a wonderful week!
