Weekly Update - October 26 - 30

This week will begins with a district wide professional development day. Tuesday morning from 10:30ish to lunch we will be carving pumpkins. Thank you to all of you who have volunteered to participate as well as to those who sent pumpkins for carving! The students will participate in a draw this week to be able to win one of the carved pumpkins.

We will try to keep things as "normal" as possible leading up to Friday's Hallowe'en festivities. Friday morning will continue as usual until lunch. After students eat they will be able to dress up in their costumes. We will have the grade one classrooms designated as boy and girl change rooms. Parents are welcome to come at 11:10ish to help with the costumes. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL DRESSED IN COSTUME.

During the afternoon, beginning at 11:40, there will be a costume parade that will take about 30 - 45 min. After that is finished we will return to the classroom to take a class photo, enjoy a Hallowe'en video and eat some yummy snacks. Please don't worry if you were not contacted by the room rep to provide a snack. We will have about 4 parties this year and each parent will have an opportunity to provide snacks for one of them, thanks in advance.
