Hard to believe, but we are almost at the last month of grade one! As summer approaches, it is a great time to reflect on your child's accomplishments over the past few months of this school year. I always marvel at the transformation students make in such a short time! Please continue to have them practice reading and math skills over the next few weeks.

We have an exceptionally short week ahead. Monday is Victoria Day and we all have an extra day off. We have a site based PD day on Tuesday.

This week we will start the ABC's of grade one on Wednesday. Our "A" day begins with an extra art project. In past," Bubbles and Bubble Gum" day gets high ratings from most of the students. I am looking forward to having fun with bubbles!!

The Crowning of Mary Celebration is at 9:15 am on Thursday. Your children have been practicing the Hail Mary in words and sign language, I am confident that they are all prepared. Please feel free to join us for the celebration.

I will be sent home the last Scholastic order form for the year. If you are interested in ordering, please return the form ASAP.

Dates to Remember:

May 21 - Victoria Day
May 22 - P.D. Day - no school for students
May 24 - Crowning of Mary Celebration @9:15 a.m.
May 29 - Hubbard Collection fieldtrip - 12:45 - 2:15 pm
