Weekly Update - March 12 - 16

                 
Last week was a very busy week. Students did lots of work but they also got the opportunity to go to Home Depot on Wednesday and to the St. Francis play Little Mermaid Junior on Thursday. A huge thank you to all of the parents who came to help out at Home Depot!

We have been doing a lot of practice for Choral Music Festival. Our performance is on Wednesday at Southminster United Church. Students are asked to wear black or blue jeans and a brightly coloured shirt (plain; no markings on front of shirt). Girls are encouraged to wear their hair pulled back away from their face. Grade one performs at 9:30 am. It is $3.00 per person and people should come a few minutes early to ensure seating. 

Next week is a short week. Monday is Spiritual Development Day for staff so there is no school for students. On Friday students will be decorating eggs and cookies in the art room. Thank you to the parents who have donated or volunteered their time! Some of the Leprechaun traps have started to arrive, they are fantastic!! Thank you to all of the families for sharing their creativity with us!
 
Celebration of Learning Interviews are 4:30 - 7:30 pm on March 21 and 22. I look forward to meeting with all of you. Please note that the format has changed. Your child will be sharing what they are learning with you, they are very proud of their accomplishments!
