I hope everyone is taking time to enjoy this beautiful sunny weather! We have a number of things going on this week as Father's Day is fast approaching. We will be busy creating special surprises for our wonderful dads.
This week I am completing end of the year assessments on the students. A few skills I am focusing on are: sight words, reading levels, skip counting by 2, 5, and 10 and adding/subtracting to 20.
Thursday we have our final field trip of the year to Birds of Prey. Parents are welcome to join us. However since this is a joint field trip with the other grade one class, we are unable to guarantee seats for parents on the bus. We will leave the school at 9:00ish and arrive at Birds of Prey about 9:30 am until 11:30.
Please note that due to team colour day on Wednesday, grade one's will celebrate O and P day on Tuesday. Students will wear pajamas and enjoy an oreo snack on June 9th!
